at last some definate answers to this long sought question. I read the link twice and followed what they did and I got the same results as the article. it made alot of sense and you can actually see it work. *note* when using net_graph 1 you want the blue dots to rise all the way up to the greyline in the middle. not over or under. yellow and red dots bad. do the ex_interp 0 last and if its choppy raise it by one until it smooths out and watch the graph to make sure you dont lose cells. EXample ex_interp 0.05 then go to 0.06 and so forth. good luck. this works and is accurate! my fps is 85 so my cl_cmdrate is set to 90 per this cl_update rate is set to 20 or 30 I forget..but its set per the graph. you will be able to see the difference. change this number until you get the most blue lines closest to the grey line. my rate is set to 20000. per this article 20000 is the cap for cs. let me know if you have any questions. www.gotfrag.com/cs/story/30057/?spage=1

Great find Maxi. I will have to try this when I get home. Thanks for the post buddy.
This would be awesome to have in our Public support forum. Hopefully you don't mind if it gets moved there so everyone can see.

Nice job on the find Max. I set mine in both C.S. and DoD. Now I want to try it and see if I have any loss or choke on the DOD server since it seems to be the one that gives me trouble. Both net_graph's look just like the tutorial shows. Thanks for the info bro.

I'm not sure messing with your interp is a good idea. In cs the LEGAL interp is 0.01 and your really not suppose to mess with that. But If you don't play an leagues I guess it's all good.

"So using Valves information we should be able to set the right cl_updaterate which will untimately set our ex_interp to its correct value (only if its set to ex_interp 0, will it be automatically set)."
No we don't play in any leagues Murdoch but I still would like some input from you. If you set your interp to 0 is this still illegal in cal play? I would think setting this to 0 would not be illegal, but then again I don't play in leagues. Just call me a lifetime pubber lol. Can someone have interp set different in config config files? And is this illegal in cal? Just trying to figure out what is legal and illegal in league play. Thanks for any info you can give.

0.01 is the only legal interp in cal. in fact if u dont have a special gui, steams stock gui has the interp wrong. i have cpl gui so my interp will always be 0.01 and so will my smokes bit quality. however in the steam gui i think the stock interp is like 0.1 so really if u play cal with the stock steam gui its illegal. although its very minimal difference and not even that big of a deal, every little bit counts. I guess you could call me a perfectionist. I doubt if u played leagues that anyone would call u on it. However u can change everything else. I find the best rates for smoothness and registry are update and cmd at 101, rate 25000 and cl rate 9999.
